Reduce Maintenance Costs & Extend Asset Life

Honeywell helps existing customers reduce maintenance costs and sustain asset life by providing the option of certified recycled parts, ensuring parts availability and support, and helping customers with cost-effective migration planning that meets their needs, schedule and budget.

Certified Recycled Parts for Honeywell Systems

Honeywell helps customers find the parts they need to maintain systems and productivity. These Certified Recycled Parts are not new, but parts acquired from customers and factory surplus. These parts go through a certification process to validate functionality. In most cases, the equipment has been previously used and decommissioned.

Benefits

  • Reduced system downtime
  • Allow for planned system migrations when scheduled/budgeted, which avoids unplanned spend on system
  • Reduce maintenance cost with qualified spares requiring fewer replacements
  • Lower cost lab/test systems, reduce spend while providing off-process opportunities for system configuration and improvements

Prevent Downtime with Wireless Equipment Health Monitoring

Honeywell's OneWireless Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) solution helps manufacturers proactively manage maintenance. By monitoring vibration more frequently than the monthly vibration checks done by a portable system, you can get data on a daily basis to detect problems sooner. The data provides operators and maintenance personnel with the knowledge they need to schedule maintenance and plan in advance, which eliminates secondary damage to assets and minimizes costly emergency work. By monitoring rotating equipment, plant staff have the visibility to predict equipment failures which leads to greater uptime and reduced maintenance costs.

Honeywell's OneWireless EHM solution delivers the following benefits

  • Maintenance cost reduction: up to $5K per asset annually
  • Monitoring cost reduction: $600-900 per asset annually
  • Enhanced production: increase uptime of asset by 1% every year

Steel Mill Improves Performance with Wireless

Information for the Oil and Gas Industries

O&G operations face some unique challenges in being able to measure asset health and performance. Often there are harsh and difficult environmental conditions for instrumentation and cabling may not be available for adding new instrumentation. Honeywell's OneWireless provides monitoring solutions via an open standards-based mesh network that requires no cables. Being able to monitor equipment performance can greatly increase the reliability of the assets, and it reduces cabling, energy and maintenance costs as well.

Help Operators Drive Reliability of Assets

Honeywell's wireless mobile productivity technology increases operator-driven reliability by extending access to critical process information, historical data, graphics and other key functions beyond the control room. It enables engineering, operations and maintenance personnel to capture process data directly from systems and field devices, as well as validate and share accurate data at the point of collection.

IntelaTrac PKS automates the collection of field inspection data and makes the data useful and actionable. It enables users to integrate field data with data from multiple other sources, including production, process control and work management systems. Field operators can make more accurate and timely decisions, and identify problems and corrective actions early to help prevent unplanned downtime, reduce emergency work orders, which are four times more expensive than planned work, and prevent secondary damage.

Honeywell's Mobile Station relays control system information to remote users where and when needed. Using a wireless station tablet or other handheld device, Mobile Station solutions simplify security, minimize performance impact on the control system, and eliminate costly and error-prone display re-engineering.

Leading O&G companies are improving plant availability at the same time as reducing maintenance cost by implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies. Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) and Risk Based Inspection (RBI) are two techniques often employed in RCM. Honeywell provides a comprehensive range of solutions to enable maintenance to be clustered at best fit moment from production point of view. As O&G production fields decline rapidly, rollout of such solutions can assist in the de-manning of upwards of 80 percent of on-site staff, as well as improving gross production availability around 2 percent.

Information for the Mining, Metals & Minerals Industry

MMM operations face some unique challenges in trying to maintain the ability of their assets to reliably and safely produce. Often there are harsh and difficult environmental conditions for instrumentation that periodically needs to be moved, as for instance in the case of leach pad management. Honeywell's OneWireless provides monitoring solutions via an open standards-based mesh network that requires no cables.

Increasing the amount of monitoring for an existing facility can be costly and challenging. For instance to increase the temperature readings around an electric arc furnace the measurement solutions must be able to cope with the high magnetic field generated by the process. Honeywell's OneWireless solutions provide robust measurement capabilities that can utilise handheld devices to increase the access to real time data necessary to enable process improvements.
